Date night

Woo-hoo! Last night Jason and I had a date night. Owen stayed with Jason's parents (he LOVES it over there, didn't care that Jason and I were leaving and didn't want to go home when we came back. LOL!). We went out to PF Changs for dinner then to see the movie I Am Legend. It was pretty good. Not what I expected, but pretty good. Except the ending. That threw me for a loop.

Anyway, reason we went out was because I got good news at work last week. I have been working part time (Mon-Fri from 2-6). On Friday they asked if I'd be interested in picking up some extra hours in February, March and maybe April. One of the other ladies who works there (in the 1 year old room) is going on vacation for 2-3 months (back to her home country). Before they considered hiring someone else they wanted to give me the chance to accept/decline it. I still had to take O's therapy into consideration so I will be working Monday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings (and afternoons) and Tuesday and Friday afternoons (O's therapy are those mornings though). Yay! I'm so happy that they apparently think I'm doing a good job (or else they wouldn't be offering me more hours). I'm up for a potential raise at the end of February/beginning of March so this is perfect timing too. I guess if you do well you automatically get a raise after 3 months (don't even have to ask). If you don't do well, you don't get a raise. The lady who works the infant room in the morning has been there for 5 months and hasn't gotten her raise... and doesn't understand why. I could tell you why, but it would put a damper on my happy post. I really don't care for those lady. As an individual she's nice. As a daycare worker.... she pisses me off.

So.... yay! I'm also thrilled I'll be in the 1 year old room on those mornings, more than likely. We have 2 babies who were in the infant room who moved to the 1 year old room. One of those (we'll call her *K*) is an absolutely precious little girl. She automatically took to me and grew very attached. Whenever I came in the room she dropped everything and came to me. If it was me and a bunch of the other workers (who she's known for a lot longer than me!) she would chose me every single time. But then she had to move out of my room :( I still see *K* a couple times a week but I have to be careful to go over there when her mom gets there. If I go see her at any other time she FLIPS out when I have to go back to my room (the infant and 1 year old room are attached with a bathroom so we can open the bathroom door to go to the 1 year old room if we need something). I have "kidnapped" *K* back to the infant room on occaision too. LOL! But, anyway, I'm so happy I'll get to see her 3 mornings a week now!!!!

Jason's birthday is tomorrow. Nothing special really planned. We'll do dinner out with his parents (that's what they do on birthday's). Next Sunday we'll do dinner and a movie again (which is really funny because I had it planned with Jason's parents without Jason knowing because I wanted to surprise him with dinner and a movie.... until Friday came and Jason decided he wanted to surprise me with dinner and a movie this sunday. LOL). Oh well, 2 date's in a week. I'm not complaining ;)

Alright, gotta run. Need to go to the bank (have 3 paychecks I haven't cashed yet), get my oil changed then get some lunch, figure out what's for dinner and get to work. After work we'll go to the gym.
