Being a SAHM was so much easier

The reality has sunk in. Working out of the home and having a child kinda sucks when he gets ill.

Yesterday Owen came to work with me. He wasn't running a fever and said he was feeling fine. We gave him the option of going home when Jason got off work (he was going to come pick him up) but Owen said he wanted to stay and play.

But today he's throwing up. He missed therapy this morning (I felt a little lost not having therapy to go to! LOL!). I can't let him go to school/daycare puking though. Jason can normally work from home in an emergency. He's currently trying to get out of work to come home and work from home. However, it's a friday. Which means he needs to be at his second job at 5:30 (about a 30 minute drive in traffic so he needs to leave by 5). I don't get out of work until 6 (home around 6:15). Yup, slight problem. I *could* ask Jason's parents to come watch Owen for an hour or so. But they're slightly older and not in the best of health. Even if this is *just* a virus, I don't want them getting sick. After a call to my work I think we have it figured out. Jason's going to come home and watch Owen while I go to work for a couple hours. I'm going to leave early (4:45) so that Jason can get to his second job somewhat on time. I have no idea who is going to watch the infants though, as apparently the girl who works in the room with me just asked our boss if she could leave early too. D'oh! I think her daughter (almost 3) is ill too. She was running a fever yesterday.

Anyway.... all that to say- it was much easier being a SAHM. Never realized it before, but it really was much easier!
