Tomato and basil. I think my tomato plant has a bit of transplant shock because it's not really growing much.
But it does have a tiny tomato!!!
Zucchini (growing strong!) on the left and yellow squash (doing okay) on the right.
Parsley and chives, both doing good.
Cucumbers in back (not growing at all. But there were 7 in the little thing I bought. I plucked 4 of them this morning so hopefully the other 3 will start growing well!), green pepper in front left (growing well) and red pepper (growing huge already!) on the right.
My red pepper has the starts of little buds already!!!
I'm excited that things are actually growing! We'll see how they do as the summer goes on. I'm afraid it's going to get too hot/humid here. I've already been warned that with the weather, along with it being a container garden, I'll probably end up watering them twice a day. But, I'm hoping this will help us cut back on our food budget. I can't believe the price of food sometimes when I go grocery shopping. Last week at the store red peppers were almost $4/pound! I couldn't believe it. I like peppers, but not that much!

I totally forgot I asked about the peppers in your other entry. I remember earlier this afternoon when Scott and I were in Holland. Don't ask me why I remembered then....
Everything looks like it's growing well! I don't even know when I'm suppose to plant... You said you had a few days when it got down to the 50s...thats not a whole lot less than our highs. I think I'll wait a little longer.
I think for Michigan it's typically after Memorial Day? Maybe? So a couple more weeks. The weather here is mostly in the 70's during the day. Although we have a freak storm coming through and it's supposed to get down to the 40's (!!!!) tonight! I have no idea what to do with my plants. Most of the things I planted don't do well when the low's get under 55ish, so once your lows are around 55ish it should be safe to plant them :)
