This blog is 99% about Owen... lol.... but we'll insert a little about me today ;) I've been having some health issues lately (won't go into all the details today). Short story- I had a dr appointment today. I had a quick EKG, which turned out okay. I'm going to end up wearing a 24 hour heart monitor sometime next week to see if there's anything going on there. Next week I'll also run down and get some blood drawn. I don't know what all the tests are for but one is testing my thyroid. She said that by feeling it it feels "large, but not surprisingly large. The larger end of normal". So, whatever that means. LOL! Anyway, that's how I spent my morning. Fun fun.
Tonight we went to Build A Bear. It was so stinking cute! Seeing Owen get that excited about something is very rare. He picked out a brown fuzzy (so soft!) bear wearing a hospital/scrub outfit. It's cute! He named him Greg. Don't know where that name came from, but he insisted his name was Greg :) He had a blast, he really did. I am glad we took him. He's definately thrilled with his "special bear". Afterwards we went to Fridays for dinner. He did great, as he usually does (he loves Fridays and tries to convince me that we have to eat there every Friday. Ha. No). I'll try and sneak in his room in a little bit and get a picture of him. When I left the room he was hugging his bear and going to sleep.
Tomorrow will be an early morning (but not as early as Jocelyn's was!). We have to be at the hospital at 7:30 (it's only like a 15 minute drive, if that). His surgery is at 9. I started reading him his social story about going to the hospital tomorrow and he seems fine with it so we'll see how tomorrow goes....

Good luck Owen (and mama!). Hopefully they can get him out this time...if they can't, well take video of his superhuman anti-anesthesia abilities. ;-)
Hopefully the heart monitor turns out ok. I've had to do that before--it's like wearing a cd player with wires all over you. LOL!!! You should ask mom about the thyroid thing--I bet she could give you some information on it.
I've talked to mom a little about it and she says to get it tested. LOL! So I will. We'll see what happens. Like I said, I'll do that next week. I didn't have time to do it today since I had to work at 10 this morning (appointment was at 8:20 and I made it to work 2 minutes late as it was).
