Early Valentines Day

Jason and I had decided that since he doesn't know whether he's working Valentines night (and won't know until Wednesday) we would go out last night. It was just easier that way, since places weren't as crowded (and they will be Thursday). We decided to go out with Jason's friend *D* and his girlfriend *C*. I've met *D* before but I'd never met *C* (they've only been dating a few months but all 3 of them have been friends since they were little kids). So we dropped Owen off with Jason's parents and went out to dinner at Bonefish Grill. It was pretty tasty. I'm not a huge seafood fan but their Bang Bang Shrimp is really good!

After that we all went bowling for a little bit. I've only been bowling a couple times in the last few years, and I suck pretty bad, but it was fun. LOL! Jason won the first game and tied with *D* the second game. It was a pretty fun night. The only downside was when we were bowling there was a large group of seniors there too, looked like they were having some sort of party (food, balloons, etc). One elderly lady decided to do the "granny ball", only backwards (so she was facing the rest of her friends then put her head down and rolled the ball through her legs towards the pins). Bad idea. She face planted into the floor. From what we saw she broke her glasses and had a cut on her head. Poor woman :(

But, other than that, it was a fun night. I wasn't sure whether the night would go well since I didn't really know the other 2 people we were going with but they are both cool and we all had lots of fun. We'll have to do it again someday ;)

When we got back to pick up Owen (5 hours later) he didn't even want to leave, barely even noticed we had walked into the house. LOL! The poor boy was exhausted though and fell asleep in the car on the way home.

On Valentines Day we will probably take Owen to see the new Veggie Tales movie and maybe dinner at McDonalds or Fazolies or somewhere that's not too busy. If Jason does end up working then I'm not sure what we'll do. I'll either take Owen alone or we'll find something else to do (maybe the childrens museum).

I think we have a Bonefish Grill up here. We've never been. There are a lot of restaurants I'd like to try, but because of the no dairy, we rarely eat out. It's too much of a pain to try and find something I can eat, make sure they don't slather it in butter, and then there's getting sick to my stomach when there is dairy in it and I don't know about it. Not fun. But sorry to hijack your blog.
Glad you had a good time. Sounds like fun!!

You should come down here ;) We can go to Carrabbas. Yummy food. They will, without a doubt, make it dairy free (Jason works there so would make sure of it. LOL!). And, the best part, we get it cheap since he works there. LOL! He also gets discounts at Bonefish Grill and Outback.

Scott and I do plan on taking a road trip to Kentucky in the early summer, maybe in June.... I mean if you don't mind house guests for a few days! I'm pretty sure Dad plans on coming there too, so we'll have to chit chat with him and we will all come down together!

Sweet. Dad is tentatively thinking Fathers Day weekend, which is June 15th.

Come on down :) I can't offer much in the way of a bed but we can find room for air matresses if y'all bring them. Our house isn't that big, but we all squeeze into your apartment with no complaints so... yup, you all are welcome here :)

And June is the perfect time to come. Once you get to late July and August it's hot and humid. While everything is air conditioned, it sucks if you want to be outside doing stuff.

So.... ahem.... what about you- Allison?
