Quick update....

Owen had a dentist appointment this morning. All went great- no cavities or the like. The dentist said the only iffy thing is that he'd like to see a bit more space between his teeth, but he has a little bit of space so it's okay for now. Unfortunately it looks like he's following in his mama's footsteps and has a small mouth. Well.... not really. We have big mouths, just small jaws ;)

And the dentist pointed out that he has *2* loose teeth! (Side note... good job, mom, for not noticing that one. DOH!). One is pretty darn loose, the other not far behind.

Owen is TERRIFIED of losing teeth. I've tried to explain it to him, as did the dentist, but he just keeps telling us "I don't want my teeth to fall out. I love my teeth! I don't need big teeth!". So this adventure should be fun....

But on a wonderful note.... he actually did the WHOLE appointment! He's been going every 3 months for the past 1 1/2 years and gets a little more done every time (wonderful dentist who works well with Owen and pushes him to the limit but knows not to cross the boundary). He got the pink stuff put on his teeth (to show him the "sugar bugs") then actually let the assistant use the noisy toothbrush thing (they got a new one that doesn't need toothpaste... which Owen would never let them use.... because it has flavorless stuff built right in... how cool is that?!?). He let her clean all his teeth AND use the scraper thingy. She then did flouride (which she didn't warn him about and he was PISSED OFF, but got over it fairly quickly. Then he let the dentist do his peeking. This is WAY more than he's ever let them do so I am super proud of my big boy! We're going back in another 3 months. After that we may drop it down to every 6 months if he's still doing well! Woo-hoo!!!
